got bored with the stock starter and kill switches.

Ordered up some mil-spec sealed toggles, built a bracket and wired them up.

Thanks guys. pretty good with the grinder,, but my welding needs work. Still looks like some kind of mutated snot rocket mated with bird shit. ahahahaha At least with this one, no one has to see it.

forgot to mention, the starter switch is a DPST, momentary on.
One pole of the switch shorts the clutch switch(it shorts to ground), the other pole controls the starter circuit. that makes starting a one switch affair. Just gotta make sure I don't try to start it while in gear.....

What type and brand of welder are you using?? and what type and size electrode mate??

Its a Hobart Handler 135. Its a MIG(GMAW to be more accurate) wire is SS .023

I can do pretty good spot welds with it, just don't have the technique to (consistently)make beads look pretty. every now and then, the stars line up and a good looking bead appears. Just need more practice.

A friend can weld beautifully with a shitty flux core machine....bastard

can you reverse the polarity of the mig? Earth to positive, Hand piece to negative... Depends on the brand, but sometimes with SS wire it smooths the arc out a bit and makes the weld pool easier to control... might help, might not... either way, you're doing a brilliant job with your Trumpy.
