I need some help in choosing my next assignment when I finish school. I'm basing it mostly off track availability. I've "bought in" pretty heavy and am fully addicted to riding and am going to start racing.
So if you could post your general location (closest major city) and the tracks w/in 4hrs of you. Currently I'm in central Texas and flat out spoiled w track choices and organizations to ride with. Thanks! Shawn Sent from my iPhone using Motorcycle.com Free App

I would say stay in texas then. California/ west coast has plenty of tracks, if u can find a decent place that's central to all of them.
The northeast has quite a few places. Same as south east. I'm in atlanta, within reasonable driving distance I have Road atlanta, Tally GP, Barber, carolina motorsportspark, jennings, roebling road, nashville (if it hopefully reopens). Quite a few options here.

I'm in Colorado Springs. Not much for track day stuff but does have a good racing org called MRA. We have High Plains, Pikes Peak, and Pueblo Motorsports Park. Kansas and Miller are a good ways out. The three that we have a fun tracks but not worth moving here for.

Benning is a possibility and it keeps me in the south I just have to investigate what their hospital looks like first. And I could get used to Barber as. "Home track" droool I love that place.

How about across the border to Southern Ontario, Toronto area. Mosport (new owners and construction - looks great-called Canadian Tire Motorsport Park now) Shannonville, TMP Cayuga, Grand Bend, Calabogie ( bit further north) and proposed new oval and road course in Lake Erie just across Niagara Falls border - apparently approved and construction to start soon.
- R.A.C.E. and SOAR race series. |
