Sort of. Booked our flights to Dublin today, still need accomodation on IOM. We get to IOM on Saturday June 1 to stay for 3 days to watch the TT. I can't wait and will probably lose all kinds of sleep thinking about the trip. Long ways off still... but I am going!

So jealous. Definitly high up on my bucket list. The wife said we can go as long as we swing through the rest of the UK so she can sight see. Now I just need to win the lottery...

Sounds good, make sure you get your accommodation sorted soon though, it books up pretty quick for the tt.

If you end up sick, prego, afraid to fly, etc, I will go and honor your name for you.
Super jealous, this is definitely on my bucket list of things to do, also go by the Guinness factory.

Me too ! I've dreamed of it all my life ....
Just got my lodging, ferry passage, and bike rental sorted. My wife and I are going to be there for all of race week ! PSYCHED ! Everyone will tell ya that it will be VERY difficult (or almost impossible) to find lodging this late ... I sent 100 emails to all the listed lodging places (http://www.visitisleofman.com/accomm...cility=&class=) and got three positive replies. ... but I keep hearing that the majority of the homestays don't become available till January ? Or you might find someone selling their lodging on the TT forum: You need to go here and read everything: http://www.iomtt.com/Forum.aspx In addition, at this date, you will find it very difficult to book any ferry passage other than a walk on. I was able to book a bike rental in Dublin, with ferry passage from Belfast on Mad Sunday (darn, gotta miss it maybe) ... with our return to Larne at 3AM the following sunday.

ya, it is crazy how fast it all books up. I am hoping for a B&B place to stay. Gotta get on it quick.
Care to share which places told you they had something free? Last edited by whirlybird; 11-13-12 at 22:13. |
