So Metzeler have bought out K2's in a higher profile. 180/60 R17's, anyone running one on their D675??
I'm currently a Conti fan, running Road Attack 2's all round. Loving them, but wondering how a higher profile rear tyre would go on my Trumpy.

Not 100% sure if it is the same tyre, but I run RaceTec in K3 compound on my bimmer. I used to run them on the Daytona, and really liked them (since then I've made it track-only, and gone with Pirelli Superbike Pro slicks). For my speed, the K3 compound was sticky enough. They were the lower profile 55's, though.

I don't know about the higher profile version, but I've always liked the K2's.
I ran them on my D675 and loved them - great handling, good grip, and lasted longer than Pirellis. I now run them on my race SV. Good tyres for brisk sport/track riding. Possibly not a great wet weather choice, though. O.B Last edited by old blue; 11-12-12 at 03:17. |

I am a big fan of Metz tires, loved my M5s on the Daytona and had K3s on the CBR.
Right now I am on Mich PP2cts and they are great, but I do miss the M5s

I've run Metzeler Racetec Interacts (and their predecessors) for about 13 years now: K1 front and K2 rear. I absolutely love them for racing and track days. Supper stable and plenty of grip. Always had the 55's, so thanks for the heads up, will give the 60's a go next time I'm on track.

I like the way 55's feel, wouldn't mind seeing how a 60 goes

You'll probably get to try them before me. Doubt I'll be on track again until March at the earliest. I have to get on a ferry to go to England or Europe to ride on track and it's not really worth it at this time of year. Unfortunately.
Still, gives me time to save some money. |

I ride Racetechs almost exclusively, have yet to try out the 60 profile, but I really want to!
