I hope everything works out but I am just so uncertain right now and as a business owner its the worst place to be. This is actually an up year for us, no thanks to the economy. 3 years before that were different. We have drastically changed the way we do business.
Its not the struggling companies that will be effected, it is all of us. In 2013 our insurance costs will triple. To make up for that cost we will have to let someone go or not offer insurance.

Also unemployment is way beyond 8%, that doesn't include people who have stopped looking for work. I know many people that have been actively searching for a "real" (a job they are qualified for) job for 2-3 years. These are not people that sit on their butt. After last night they are about to give up the hunt.

I could see myself eventually just working on motorcycles as my full time job, instead of being a hobby job. Cash only business. No employees.

My wife and I will be just fine, I'm not to concerned about us. Its everyone else that we support. We can make money doing anything, whether or not we can employ others is a different question.

I love how people think one person in a government system as our can change anything. Fucking idiots.

Both of them would do no good to this country and this country is going to fail anyways with the amount of stupid shit people worry about, then allowing our government to give themselves raises, get paid by lobbyist, and then worry about shit like gay marriage instead of the education system, or laws that actually matter.

I agree with TWW.

One man can't be responsible for the countries demise. Our elected leaders in historis past have slowly driven the country to the edge of a cliff, but its humanity itself that will be the ones responsible for driving it over the cliff.
Polarizing parties on both sides makes us all stupider.

I respect everyone's views. As a fiscal conservative, I completely understand and truly appreciate where a lot of you guys are coming from. Hell, when I lived in Canada, I voted Conservative. But as a social liberal, I am very happy that America didn't take a step back toward the dark ages.

I know that I'm not American so it doesn't affect me like it does you guys, but the USA's actions still have implications for the rest of the planet. Love it or hate it, America's influence is felt everywhere.

In any case, I do hope for the best for you guys.

I keep hearing people use these words "socialist" and "socialism", but I don't think they mean what people seem to think they mean.
