Well. Here we are. Riding season 2013.
There were times where it was "ON". Days when I got home from the "route" knowing it all came together. When traffic flow in the good spots was wide open and my "flow" the whole ride through every line felt jussssst right.
I hope to experience it again.
Prepping the bike tomorrow but can't ride Sunday you see because it's my Mom's memorial. Mom died Feb 5th 2013.
My wife miscarried in Sept 2012. Never was looking forward to meeting a person more. We got married Oct 6th the day before my birthday and my Dad dies on the first ride we get together after the honeymoon Oct 21st.
Will be riding soon though. I'm afraid I won't love it anymore.
Fingers crossed. I'm going to take it slow. Have been looking for signs of him everywhere and nothing. Hope I find him there on the "route" but plan on getting home safe. My wife is pregnant again and due to pop very close to my father's birthday in September.
My name is Jeremy McDermott. Say my name aloud once while you ride and send me strength and protection.
Dad, I miss you more than anything or anyone I've ever known.
Wedding day 10/6/2013.

Rest in peace to your family my friend. I hope this is true when I say this but we as members stand by you and offer our prayers and sympathy to you and loved ones. May it be hard for you to carry on, the love you have for such a sport will carry on deep inside you as that is what your father would of wanted to see, to enjoy life. He is looking down upon you and is always with you. Do not "look" for signs, for signs will be placed in your path when you least expect to see them.

Your friend,
Jay

First ride of the season today.
Rode "the route" my father I used to. It was beautiful and I was sad at times but the bike felt really good.
My dad landed across the street jusssst to the left of my left mirror. I won't stop there MOST times but had to this first ride without him.
It was emotional but I did find the joy in riding again.

That's good to hear and I'm sure that makes your dad smile to know.
