Most of the race fuel you are finding with the simple 3-5rwhp gain with tune is oxygenated fuel.. more air=more fuel=bigger BOOM!

Just doing the head gasket is a fine mod to do, lots of people do them on many model bikes. just as long as you are not expecting huge gains..
Why not go with the .060 headgasket and a tune? should be more than safe enough for your intentions.

Will have my baseline done on my bike next week, then the head is coming off & over to hordpower for a SS job.. then head, .065, adjustable sprockets... will do a pump gas tune & race fuel tune.. will be posting my progress once i get the bike on the dyno...

Fwiw, my bike made 114.5/47.2 on pump gas...119.85/49.5 on u4 with 1 more degree of timing and a touch less fueling on top end...

I am on the east coast, but I'm in s Florida....

I am running kit springs also...the builder notched my stock sprockets and advanced the cams 6*.....similar to what he does on gsxr's as the cams spec'ed out similarly....

The bike is an animal. I could easily yank worked 600's at Daytona....

The full rundown on mods is:

Bmc race/hord stacks
Akrapovic full system(now changed to an Arrow after my off at Daytona)
Kit stator/springs
Degreed cams/gasket/valve jod(0 port work!)
U4 with a badass tune via Tune ecu....

Increased compression from fuel??? Where'd you learn that?

I think you may want to step back a little and look at the big picture. Very easy to get caught up on mods without looking at what will REALLY make you go faster.

Assuming your overall goal is lower lap limes, right? Some of us just like to get cool stuff for the bike, even though we really don't need it (present company included )

If you knew the shit that was passed down here for SS....you'd tell me to get cams, pistons etc....

Fwiw, I did win the 2 nationals on the stock stator as the kit cover cracked on my tumble because SOMEBODY never ordered me a gb cover for it.....

So are you racing in WERA? Here are few stuff from CCS rule book...

D. Original equipment air box must remain as produced.
(3.) Original equipment head, valves, and cams must remain as
produced, with the exception of machining the gasket surface of
the cylinder head.

Hmmm so the rule allows
Velocity Stacks and Valve Springs? I mean I can see it working...

In terms of stator, I am pretty sure it's allowed in supersport class. There are people running total loss and also there are no mention of electronics in CCS rule book... But they do mention the transmission being stock and I am pretty sure Alternator does not fall under transmission

In speaking with an overly strict CCS tech guy, if its not mentioned in the rule book, it can be changed....

There are people running total loss units down here also...
