Started in 2009 with EFI. Given the price point, Triumph outsourced the manufacturing of the Bonneville/Thruxton series to Asia. Can't speak for the other models.

2001-2005 were the Hinckley assembled ones.

Nonetheless, I bought a Kawasaki W650 instead. Just a better built Bonnie and more rare here in the US.

Not that simple...many made after 2005 are Hinckley assembled. See discussion:

what were you worried about missing on your daytona? the power? it doesnt sound like it was a enjoyable bike for you.

.....get a rocket III it will put a smile on your face, and still be comfortable.

I don't think I'm going to miss the Daytona much.

Rocket III is too cruiser for me.

I got a W650 instead.

I've got helibars and a Corbin custom seat and my 675 gives me no back problems i can ride for 2 hrs comfortable.
