Yeah, I actually have a photo of the speed log somewhere, I'll try to find it. At one stage I dropped a tooth on the countershaft, but I can't remember whether I hit that speed before or after I did that mod.

We were having a laugh at the track one day and I'd check the log after each session, and try to improve the speed session-by-session. Not that it really means anything, but it was fun at the time.

There are plenty of people who do it a lot faster - although I do remember that at that speed the Daytona used to pretty much drift from the inside kerb right over to the outside!

I don't have a speedo on the sv, but I think 185km/h would be tops..?

I reckon it must be after the change....ii'm always using all the revs on 2cd and 3rd gear after the corner and I dont think i've ever went more than 20something.....i havent check the speedo though.we tried with Marc to have a look but we couldnt find how to reset it.... I'll have a look on the manual because I havent change the gear lights either!! They are coming on at 4k rpm!!

Yeah, it's funny. When I made the swap to a GSXR front end on my SV, the old speedo drive didn't fit, so I now have a tacho and a temp gauge, that's all.

I spent about 30 seconds wondering if I'd miss having a speedo, but I have to admit that I have never once found it to be a concern at the track.

"What speed am I doing? It doesn't matter, because it always needs to be faster!"

You wont let it go ahh??? ....My grandfather decided to get a car when he comes back from Greece,so I'll have to wait about the towbar issue....
Trailer I'll order one like yours next week. So,when I get it I'm going to share it with Kristan since he has a towbar and for the days he cant make it I'll be using my uncle's ute(if its free)

I know it doesnt really count, but doing a day out at Mallala this Friday in a VW Golf GTI (or something like that) as part of a VW run driver training day.

Should be fun to see what La La land is like on 4 wheels instead of 2.
Might have to try my best Drifting impression - however I would hope I am not capable of screwing up the track that much.
