Default 200 miles through the Canyons

Just got back from the first real ride of the '10 675 I bought earlier this week. Rode 206 miles through the canyons West of Denver. 64.5 miles per gallon. Can't believe that gas mileage!

This is my first real sport bike. I've had sport-touring and Super Sports, but never a sport bike. Don't know if other sport bikes handle like this one, but it was really interesting. My last bike, a Ducati Multistrada 1100S with Ohlins suspension was light, but twitchy. Previous bikes I've owned have been planted, but heavy. The 675 was both light and planted.

It responds to every input and then holds its position till you give it another input. That was really interesting to me. I managed to scrub the rear tires all the way to the edge while keeping a moderate pace, so I gave myself a pat on the back.

I really enjoy the engine. It sounds like I'm going much faster than I am, LOL.

That's all for now. I gotta get down to the basement before this heat makes my fingers melt into the keyboard.

ape I don't want to rain on your parade but I'd check and ensure that you have US gallans per mileage on the dash. There are three settings and I think for some reason they always set it to the imperial setting vs the setting for US gallons.
