given the bike needs a reflashed ECU right off the bat to match the BMW power levels ($450)..But otherwise all the people i know with it love it..

As some mentioned you cannot exploit the bikes power on the street without more than likely going to jail, losing the bike, losing your license and generally taking it up the
IMO every Kawi has been ugly since the 07-08 model. 09+ looks like shit

i was lucky enough to have ridden both of them. they both feel pretty light. i thought the bmw felt a little more comfortable. the bmws power felt smoother. the zx10r felt a tad glitchy in the throttle and felt like it needed to have a little higher rpms to feel the power than the bmw. only dislike i have about the bmw is that the abs made the rear break pulse even during light braking.

I never really got into kawasaki until they came out with their newest 600. For how cheap it is and how badass it is I really thought it was a winner. I would still rather have my triple though :)
Now the ZX10r has TC and ABS and dealers are offing their new ZX10r's (non ABS) for under 10k otd and that is a killer deal for that package. I can't even find a used S1000rr for even close to that.
Ive seen them dynod on the same dyno same day and the bmw has 10HP more than the kawi across the entire RPM range. Keep in mind this is in the states. i think that over seas the the kawi may have more.

Presumably you got the Triumph because you like to stand out from the pack a little, so why would you want a Kwaka ?

The BMW I can understand, but if you want to keep with the theme of the D675 vs 600s (ie. low down torque but still revs well and develops good power, great looking bike, small, great flickability, not so common, best of both worlds between a V twin and an I4) ........but on a litre version, you can't go past an Aprilia RSV4 (I am a bit biased mind you).

Was a 2008 Tornado Red D675 (got broken)
Now a red 2010 RSV4R (that used to be black)
