Just got this back from KBC:

Thank you for your active interest in KBC. Actually, these helmets were specially made for the US bobsled team. But due to overwhelming interest in these helmets, we are in talks of producing 2010 US Bobsled helmet replicas.

I call BS. The model that was used by US bobsled during 2010 w-Olympics was KBC VR-2r and made of tri-comp, not just carbon fiber. This model was used by the Korean team and Canadian team also. Cite it otherwise.

I own two of this exact model of different years. As far as quality goes, I had to move the base plate around a smidge for a perfect fit. But I do endorse this particular model for its value.
