I finally gave in and bought this 98 Triumph Thunderbird Sport. The D675 wasn't too pleased having a fatter & noiser roomate in the garage (who would..?). But what a bike...!! I've started to do some mods to give it a café racer look and I think it is starting to look awesome. This TBS sounds awesome and is quite fast and nimble.
I attached 2 before and 2 after pictures...
If you're referring to the handle bar mirrors, they are the same as the speed triple option you can buy from Triumph. They come with an extension and fit perfectly on the TBS.
Nice bike. My dad has a 2004 Thunderbird Sport. A few months after I started riding, he let me ride it and from there on I was hooked on the sound of the triple and ultimately led me to buying the daytona. It's a fun bike and they are suprisingly quick.
It's a great engine indeed! The TBS's exhaust is pretty amazing on the Hwy. while my Daytona gets quiet at high speed (stock exhaust) the TBS just gets louder, and spits out what I would categorize as obnoxious backfiring noises! Awesome!!
My dads has a single pipe on each side. Its got the triumph offroad pipes on it. Sounds pretty sweet.
