I purchased a 2009 Street Triple R with 0 miles earlier this summer. During the first 500 miles of break in, it developed a click in the front end under hard braking. I had the dealership look at it during my 500 mile service - they took apart the front end and greased up the top bearing. It seemed to eliminate the click and everything looked good.

However, over time the front end seemed to feel much looser than I felt comfortable with. I brought it back in around 1100 miles and they once again took everything apart, this time re-greasing both the top and bottom bearings and re-torque'd everything. Once again, everything felt better at the time.

Now, it's about 400 miles later (~1500 total) and it seems to have developed a shake under hard braking right before coming to a complete stop (so, say between the 7mph-0mph range). I'm suspecting a problem with the head bearings again. I haven't had the time to bring it in to the dealership yet for them to take a look (the nearly dealership is 60+ miles away), but I plan on doing that soon.

I guess I'm mostly curious if anyone else has had issues, or if I'm the only one .

so I've been watching a lot more motorcycle racing lately due to DVR:thumbup:
MotoGP, AMA Daytona, FIM world superbike, Moto 2 are the ones I've been catching on speedvision. Now I'm sure there are MANY more associations but if I can't tune into them I'm not too worried about them. my questions are there seem to many different associations, so what are the main differences? are the bikes different in a way that some are faster than others when comparing cc's? from what I've seen I think that MotoGP are the big boys correct? does this mean that rossi and the boys have the most talent? what about the isle of man tt? what kind of bikes do they run and to those guys have more talent than track riders? thanks in advance:thumbup:

I have a full '07 Daytona fork, shock, front calipers/master cyl setup for sale if anyone is interested in upgrading their Striple. They are sprung for a 120lb rider and will include the stock springs also. They were used for 8k miles and will include a new set of EBC front brake pads and a Pazzo shorty brake lever. I am looking to get $900 total otherwise I will seperate the parts and put them on Ebay individually. I thought I'd give the Street guys first crack at them though. Let me know if you're interested and I can get you more info and pics.

So this one is shot from my buddies GSXR1000. The track that we went to is actually a karting track but they run it with nearly no rules so they let you hop on the track with no bike inspection, luggage, in shorts, whatever. I had a bunch of stuff in my saddlebags ~30pounds and it was just me and my 3 buddies out there so I thought it would be funny to get some video and really do a handling comparo.

BTW the track is IMI Motorsports out in Dacono, Co
http://imimotorsports.com/index.php?page=tracks
We were running it clockwise and with the exception of the 1 straight its doable in 1st. If I got good drive out of the ~30mph hairpin I could hit low 90s before running out of balls and braking HARD.

So it's time for a new battery in my 2007 Saytona 675 and I'm being told by the dealership that the new battery (2009 +) is larger than the 2006-2008) and as such I need to upgrade my battery tray to the new one. The batter (stcoked) from my dealership will be $75.00 and the battery tray is about $104.00 (not stocked and needs to be ordered).

I went to ride my bike this morning to work and all I got was (the probably all too familiar to all of us) click and reset of gauges. My babay won't start and I didn't have time this morning to check her out properly because I was already late for work. I just drove the truck. Anyone locally (south NJ) got a 2006 to 2008 battery I can borrow for 1 day this week or buy off them?

Oh and I'm registered for a track day at NJMP this Thurs.!

Help! Do any of you know if the battery tray upgrade is indeed necessary because if not I will go buy the damn battery tomorrow.
