Safety wire on GB racing engine covers?

For those of you thats using the GB covers. Do you guys use safety wires on the bolts that mount the covers? If yes how do you guys do it when the bolts are flush? I thinking just putting some RTD on the flush bolts and wire the rest.
Hopefully it'll pass inspection (AFM)

New chain jumping

Long story short, my previous chain and sprockets we doing the same thing, only louder. The sprocket was shark finned so i decided to get a new set

The new set has maybe 100 miles on it and its already doing the same thing. It has theproper tension although it has a tight spot already.. also the sprocket is showing decent wear already.. any ideas?

Side note :seems fine when i roll the wheel in neutral, only happens in gear.

2008 / 2009 Front end swap

I have a 2008 Daytona 675, and am hoping to be able to swap the 2009 front end onto my bike (just different aesthetic look).

Does anybody know if this is possible? Or would there have to be a lot of custom rigging to make this happen?

How long did it take you to recover from it?
I had a massive one in December, came off at ~100mph on a left hander. Waaaaay too much throttle/lean about halfway through...

Photographer said it was the worst thing he'd ever seen.

Broke my left hip, immobile for a week, crutches for 3 months and I'm still not quite walking properly yet :zipped: I now have 2 8cm long screws and a bunch of wire in me :notamused:

Bike ('08 Fireblade) landed upside down... wrote off a set of OZ's and everything except the frame and engine... Ohlins forks miraculously survived. :notworthy:

Decided to "downgrade" to a supersport... and the D675R was it.

Loving how it's so much more friendly... makes me wonder why I didn't get one earlier :biggrinjester:

I'll be attending my first trackday in 6 months soon... just to re-familiarize myself with sportbikes and to see whether the joint can take it. Hopefully it doesn't come apart!

Something my country can be proud of! :(

FH008 on 2013 675R

Well, I had it lying around from my old CBR1000, so figured why not put it to use to replace that huge chunk of SCR crap that's in the bike.

The SH820 that's the stock rectifier is much larger, so I had to mill the mounting holes on the FH008.

Happily the connector for the stator is the same on both rectifiers, no modifications there. The DC output connector is a 4P250 one from Eastern Beaver. They use 2 wires per pole, so I had to solder on another short length of wire onto those from the FH008.

One thing that troubles me, the regulator is mounted on the LHS fairing. This means the connectors have to be unplugged every time the fairing gets removed. I wonder if that'll cause problems down the road? Surely they have a finite number of connect/disconnect cycles...
